Old York Cemetary - Old Parish Cemetary - This cemetery contains the grave of Mary Nasson, said to be a witch who was executed and buried there in 1774. A heavy stone slab lies over the grave, rumored to be placed there in order to keep her inside. The stone slab is said to always be warm.
Museums of Old York - The friendly white lady who haunts this museum is said to be the spirit of a woman who long ago was hung here for witchcraft, when the building used to be the town hall. Some call her the "White Witch."

Her husband had an image of her engraved on the stone, the towns people weighted down the grave as legend has it, so she couldn't creep back out!
She was said to be a witch for she ran around town supposedly with her weird herbs and crows would flock around her as legend goes....
