is built on one of the first deeded pieces of property of the town of Foxcroft, when the town only had 10 residents (1810)!

1862 Nicholas Chandler bought the property, it had already passed hands several times.  Mr. Chandler trained horses and built a blacksmith shop.  The blacksmith's business grew and farm equipment was constructed as well.

This blacksmith shop still has many of its original equipment, probably the only one in the State with such a collection.

Ghosts @  Old Dudley Oxford Road has had many reporting of a man riding down the street on his horse dressed in an old colonial black alphet (fancy name for outfit).  No one has ever gotten close enough to make out the man, but many have reported.

Fort Sullivan Barracks Museum

Open July and August

The barracks museum is the only building left from the original fort built in 1808 by Major Lemuel Trescott.  This fort was occupied from 07/1814 - 06/1818.  In 1877 the fort was sold and dismantled.

Small Town X Fisherman Statue

2001 Fox Show, called Murder in Small Town X, was shot in Eastport.  Show was cancelled before it actually aired.   The statue, which stands 12 ft tall was actually cut from the show's budget but the commissioned artist went ahead with its production anyways.  In 2004, a committe of citizens formed to restore and preserve the statue, for it had been abandoned.  The statue has become a local favorite!

Ghosts @ William Fog Library - The historic library, established in 1907, has been home to some strange activity. Folks say a photograph taken for a newspaper revealed a transparent skull floating above a staircase. Also reported have been windows that broke by themselves.

Things to do....

Branch Lake

It’s quaint, quiet, and is popular among locals but still somewhat unknown to visitors. The beach is sand surrounded by large boulders and a great spot to catch frogs! A public boat access is in the works for the future.
