Established in 1992 and responsible for improved bike safety education, advocate for better bike laws, increased funding for bike trails, and opened more areas to bicycling.  The coalition has launched several successful now annual events:  Great Maine Bike Swaps, the Women's Ride & Maine Lobster Ride & Roll!

 

The Great Maine Bike Swaps are held this year first at

 

Sunday - April 10th

UMaine - New Balance Student Recreation Center

10 am - 1 pm

 

and 

 

Sunday - May 1st

USM -m Sullivan Recreation & Fitness Complex

10 am - 1 pm

15th Annual Maine Women's Ride - June 12, 2016

 

There are 4 different routes that you can sign up for ( 10, 25, 50 or 62 miles ).  The routes are quiet and offer some beautiful views of both the country and the seacoast.  

 

All rides begin and end at LL Bean's Casco Coference Center ( Casco St - Freeport ).  There are rest stops, healthy snacks and support vehicles along the way.  When you finish there is music, yoga, massage, and a party!
