Ghost Sightings @ Brownville Road - The White Lady can often be seen walking alongside the road and the green bridge.  In the 1940's a young couple was travelling into town, coming back from their honeymoon.  The car went off the side of the road and into a ditch, the man told his wife to stay by the car while he sought help.  When he came back, his wife was nowhere to be found, and now it is believed that her ghost haunts the road.  Certain places will have thick fog, and several townies have had spooky encounters with this young lady, the car is still in the ditch, on its roof, untouched.

Monhegan Brewing Company is a family owned and operated small brewery.   Owned by Matt and Mary Weber, residents of Monhegan Island, and also Mary's father, Danny McGovern.  Danny began his brewing career in 1992 when he opened Lake St. George Brewing Company.  He went on to brew at other midcoast Maine breweries for the last 20 years prior to taking the plunge into brewery ownership again.  A respected member of the Maine brewing community, Danny (a self-proclaimed hophead) specializes in delicious "big" IPAs and spectacular malt-forward stouts.  He oversees every brew at Monhegan Brewing Company while passing on his craft to Matt and Mary.  See more at:  http://www.monheganbrewing.com/taproom-info.html
