Craig Pond - Free

Follow the Hatchery Road 1.3 miles north from Route 1 in Orland. There is no sign marking the dirt road leading a half-mile east into Craig Pond. The road is 50 yards south of a yellow roadside “Slow” sign. If you get to the Hatchery you have gone a bit too far. The road into the pond is open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day.

The beach is on the northern side, near the boat landing.  This place is quite popular to the locals, May is the best month before the camps are up and fully occupied.

Ghost Sightings @ University of Maine - Beta Theta Pi House - the downstairs "advisors suite" at the Beta Pi House on the campus is said to be occupied by an old disgruntled brother of the fraternity.  The 3rd floor (attic) has a separate room reserved for housemothers over the years, and believed to haunted by one of its last residents, Evelyn.  She opens the door after it has been locked and bolted.  She can be heard walking around in the attic, and along the back stairwell to the kitchen.  She flicks lights off and on in the guest bathroom.
